Due to an overwhelming response, and identified need in Astrea communities, Astrea has announced that they are extending the application date for the Astrea Connection Assistance program to Friday, April 10th.
Due to the COVID-19 impact on school closures in both Michigan and Wisconsin, and the increased need for online access to fill the education access gap, they will be offering free high-speed cable internet broadband access for new K-12 & college student income eligible households for 60 days.
At Astrea, the health and well-being of our customers, employees, and communities is a top priority. As a result, we are joining with the national effort to do our part to decrease the spread of COVID-19 in the communities we serve. We have implemented several measures and will continue to monitor and adjust as necessary.
The Clark / Pickford Township Council approved, effective December 9, 2019, Astrea, a division of CCI Systems, Inc. of Iron Mountain, MI, to assume ownership of the Clark / Pickford Township cable & broadband franchise formerly held by Sunrise Communications.
